Transplanting

Last night I spent time watering the hills side while Wayne sprayed weed killer on the lawn--too many weeds.  Then we moved the Scent First Passion Dianthus to the north side of the hill.  We just couldn't enjoy it where it was.  We watered thoroughly and hopefully it will make it.  We also moved some more purple iris just in front of the electrical box on the south side.  That should hide it.

The periwinkle has not done well on the hill side.  We decided to transplant the mother of thyme down there.   It grows profusely and is just the ticket to keep the soil in place.  I don't know why we didn't think of that before since it really isn't something we are concerned about the way it looks.  Mother of thyme is more ground cover, but should work well.  We'll do that this fall.
